The National Book Trust's week-long book fair concluded on Thursday at the Udaipur Information Center Auditorium, aimed at transforming the center into a valuable reference hub for students and intellectual readers. Organized by the Information and Public Relations Department at the Udaipur divisional headquarters, the event showcased a diverse collection of books across various genres, including literature, art, culture, and children's literature.

Dr. Kamlesh Sharma, Joint Director of the Information Center, noted the fair's appeal to students, local residents, and the literary community, offering a vast selection ranging from children's novels and picture books to self-help guides and biographies.

NBT's Assistant Director, Mukesh Kumar, reported that over 1,000 students from ten schools actively participated in daily creative activities, including story readings, drawing contests, and author discussions. Workshops featuring renowned artists and storytellers like Komal Jain and Gopal Rajgopal captivated the children. The closing session offered Mandana art and Vedic mathematics workshops, along with engaging entertainment activities.

Thanks to the efforts of NBT officials, including Executive Assistant Deepa Singh and Young Professional Shubhalakshmi Gautam, the fair successfully attracted significant participation, selling over 2,500 books valued at more than ₹2.25 lakh. Prizes were awarded to winners and runners-up of the children's activities, marking a triumphant end to the event.
